About Me
{Irrashai}, referring to me, is a network engineer and computer architecture enthusiast from the Pearl of the Orient. This blog is where she dumps her thoughts on topics like computer networks, wireless/wifi, mac, linux, microprocessors, and technology. It is also host to her nonsensical side and blabbers, hobbies and fanatisms like harry potter, books, astronomy, movies, life lessons, Church and the academe.
Why Irrashai?
Irrashai (or Rash) is the apple oh-range of my eye. He was born 21 October 2006 in a restaurant somewhere in Ortigas, with his twin Mashe. He’s my constant companion and the “mascot” of this blog.
The name was coined from the Japanese greeting “Irasshai mashe.” The phrase means something along the lines of “Welcome and dine with us,” which was how patrons are greeted upon coming in. The spelling was a bit off though. It was too late when we confirmed it, so we decided to stick to the ‘double r’ instead for originality.
Here’s a photo of irrashai, in case you haven’t seen him all around this blog already.
